CSK purchases Rachin Ravindra for Rs 1.8 crore at the IPL Auction 2024.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the five-time IPL winners, have acquired Rachin Ravindra for a sum of Rs 1.8 crore.

Rachin Ravindra, the top batter from New Zealand, was expected to fetch a premium price in the IPL 2024 auction. However, the five-time winners of the IPL, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), paid Rs 1.8 crore for the player.


The great player started a bidding battle between CSK and DC, with a base price of Rs 50 lakh. Punjab Kings also took up arms. Nevertheless, Chennai persisted in their offer and paid Rs 1.8 crore for the Ravindra. Under the direction of MS Dhoni, the player of Indian descent is scheduled to make his IPL debut.

Shardul Thakur, the star all-around bowler for India who was also predicted to place the highest price in the IPL Auction, will rejoin the MS Dhoni-led squad.

The bidding war is initiated by CSK and SRH, with a base price of Rs 2 crore. Nevertheless, CSK, who paid Rs 4 crore to acquire the elite bowling all-round player, showed no signs of relinquishing him.
